Summary

This report presents a practical cartilla developed in collaboration with ICLEI–Colombia and supported by the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED). It documents pilot experiences implemented in educational institutions in La Estrella, Colombia, including school gardens, planting of native species, and irrigation systems, highlighting how ecosystem-based adaptation and nature-based solutions can strengthen resilience.

The report emphasises the social appropriation of knowledge, demonstrating how students and communities engage with climate adaptation practices through inclusive and participatory processes grounded in gender equality and social inclusion.
