This case study examines how participatory mapping and community-led planning in Old Providence and Santa Catalina (Colombia) enabled residents to co-create locally grounded adaptation roadmaps after Hurricane Iota, while revealing the structural, economic, and psychosocial barriers that continue to influence just and sustainable recovery in small island contexts.

The ARA is a global collaborative to catalyse increased investment and capacity for action-orientated research that supports effective adaptation to climate change primarily in developing countries at the scale and urgency demanded by the science.

This report discusses efforts to help Indigenous People adapt to climate change by combining their traditional ecological knowledge with scientific and technological sources of information about agriculture and climate change.
