Message from the Co-Chairs

Dear all, 

Following the move of our Secretariat to a new host, the Adaptation Research Alliance has also refreshed its website. The site is now hosted and powered by weADAPT, a long-standing global platform dedicated to climate change adaptation. weADAPT brings together practitioners, researchers, and policymakers to share evidence, experiences, and practical insights, and has supported a diverse global adaptation community for more than 15 years. We see this move as an opportunity to strengthen how we connect, learn from one another, and build communities of practice around action-oriented adaptation research. 

As you know, ARA is now a coalition of more than 280 members, including researchers, funders, policymakers, development organisations, and community-based actors. Our shared purpose is to accelerate and scale investments in adaptation research that respond to the needs of those most vulnerable to climate risks. Guided by our Adaptation Research for Impact Principles, we emphasise equity, social justice, and research processes that are grounded in real decisionmaking contexts. Together, the ARA builds resilience, improves access to adaptation finance, and enhances capacity, particularly in the Global South. 

We encourage you to explore the new website. Your feedback will help us improve it further and ensure it serves the alliance and its members well. Please let us know what works, what does not, and what additional functions or features you would find useful.
