Summary

The Climate Change and Health Programme supports funders to invest in action‑oriented research that strengthens climate‑resilient health systems. Led by the Adaptation Research Alliance, the programme builds on earlier consultative processes, grassroots action research, and learning initiatives.

It focuses on generating evidence on climate‑related health risks and effective adaptation responses in the most vulnerable countries. The programme brings together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to co‑create solutions that translate research into policy and practice.

Priority areas include heat‑related health risks, health equity, community‑based adaptation, institutional capacity development, and climate‑resilient health infrastructure. The programme supports cross‑sectoral integration of climate and health at national and sub‑national levels.

Through co‑creation, learning, and targeted financing, it strengthens the link between evidence, decision‑making, and investment for climate‑resilient health systems.
