Summary

This report by the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) presents the outcomes of a project supporting ARA’s co-creation space, Tracking, Learning and Sharing (TLS) workstream, and overall strategy development.

It outlines how IIED led the design of a co-creation process on urban resilience, resulting in the development of the SECURe framework to co-produce context-specific solutions for climate risks in cities of the Global South. The report also describes the development and handover of the TLS strategy to ensure continuity in monitoring, learning, and knowledge sharing across ARA activities.

In parallel, it highlights contributions to ARA’s strategic direction through stakeholder engagement, donor mapping, and support to governance and public affairs. The project demonstrates how collaborative processes, evidence generation, and partnerships with global and local actors can strengthen programme design, improve learning systems, and support the scaling of urban resilience initiatives.
