Urban action was one of three themes framing the 19th International Conference on Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change (CBA19). Urban communities brought critical insights on how to make climate adaptation both just and equitable. These insights must be integrated into global climate decision making at COP30 later this year.

The RegionsAdapt Progress Report 2023 focuses on climate justice, exploring how subnational governments integrate this principle into their climate adaptation efforts. The report highlights practical strategies, barriers, and enablers while showcasing 16 success stories from various regions, illustrating progress in building resilience and addressing vulnerability.
