Hanlin Wang

Membership Engagement and Learning Coordinator

Hanlin Wang joined as the Membership Engagement and Learning Coordinator of the Adaptation Research Alliance in March 2026. In this role, Hanlin supports learning, collaboration and knowledge exchange across ARA’s diverse global membership of adaptation practitioners, researchers and knowledge actors. His work also helps strengthen ARA's engagement with and learning from its growing global membership. Before joining SEI Asia, Hanlin worked with the World Economic Forum and the UN Environment Programme in Switzerland, as well as in sustainability consulting in China. At the World Economic Forum, he co-led exploratory work on biodiversity credits as an innovative financing mechanism for nature, managed a global leadership community promoting sustainable business transformation, and coordinated engagement efforts for CBD COP16 in Colombia. Hanlin holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID). Outside work, he enjoys spending time in nature and exploring good food.
