2026 Philippine Population Association International Scientific Conference

The 2026 Philippine Population Association (PPA) International Scientific Conference will take place on 5-6 March 2026 at Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City. ARA’s Head of the Secretariat, Albert Salamanca will deliver the keynote during the opening ceremonies.

With the theme “Intersections: Population, Environment, and Climate Resilience in the Philippines,” The 2026 Philippine Population Association (PPA) International Scientific Conference convenes a vibrant, diverse community of researchers, policymakers, and development stakeholders, united by a shared commitment to advancing population and development studies in the Philippines and beyond.

The PPA International Scientific Conference serves as a vital platform for scholarly exchange, critical dialogue, and collaborative engagement on pressing issues such as reproductive health, migration, youth development, gender equity, aging, urbanization, climate vulnerability, and social protection.

Albert Salamanca, Head of the Secretariat, Adaptation Research Alliance, will deliver the keynote on “Population Dynamics as Climate Risk or Opportunities?: What Adaptation Needs from Demography in the Philippines” during the opening ceremonies.
