African Research & Impact Network (ARIN)

A pan-African network connecting research, policy, and practice to drive evidence-based solutions and strengthen development impact across the continent.

About

African Research Impact Network (ARIN) seeks to identify and leverage on key research talents to flexibly and innovatively contribute to Africa’s research transformation, policy analysis and capacity building. ARIN, therefore provides a peer review platform where best research and impact practices from different African contexts, are shared, profiled, and leveraged to inform transformative policy action.

Africa Research and Impact Network (ARIN) is a pan-African platform that brings together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and communities to strengthen the role of evidence in shaping development outcomes across the continent.

ARIN works to bridge the gap between research, policy, and practice, ensuring that knowledge is not only generated but also translated into practical solutions and meaningful impact. The network supports collaboration across sectors and countries, with a focus on addressing complex challenges such as climate change, health, governance, and sustainable development.

Its work focuses on:

  • Evidence-based policy and decision-making
  • Research uptake and knowledge translation
  • Capacity strengthening for researchers and institutions
  • Cross-sector and cross-country collaboration
  • Impact-driven development solutions

By fostering partnerships and amplifying African-led research, ARIN contributes to building a more informed, connected, and impact-oriented development ecosystem.
