ARA Micro-Grants Showcase Event
On the 30 October the ARA showcased innovative and impactful grassroots action research from the Global South funded through the ARA Grassroots Action Research Micro-Grants Programme.
The event was held in two different sessions conducted online, each featuring four presentations from different micro-grantees addressing local challenges of climate change adaptation through research and action.
Session 1
- INDIA: Finding Adaptation solutions to Menstrual Health Risks induced by Climate change through knowledge cocreation (SaciWaters)
- ZAMBIA: Exploring Farmer Managed Seed Systems as an adaptation method (Women's Life and Wellness Foundation – WLWF)
- NIGERIA: Strengthening Rural Women resilience to climate change through targeted advisory service and knowledge building (Society for Climate Action in Nigeria - SCAN)
- SRI LANKA: Cloud Forest Restoration at Bopaththalawa, Central highlands of Sri Lanka (Earthlanka Youth Network)
Session 2
- MYANMAR: Community Climate Adaptation for Local Infrastructure (Doh Eain)
- BRAZIL: Autonomy, Sustainability and Peoples’ Good Living: catalyzing the power of community-led climate adaptation and nature-based alternatives in the Atlantic Forest (Instituto Cabruca)
- URUGUAY: Local leadership and community resilience in response to a global impact: water scarcity (Sociedad Amigos del Viento -ADELV)
- ZIMBABWE: Community adaptation to climate change through diverse and sustainable livelihood portfolios of nature-based enterprises

ARA Tracking, Learning & Sharing Showcase Event
On the 6 November the ARA showcased the Tracking, Learning, and Sharing (TLS) initiative of the ARA, highlighting impactful adaptation research and learning exchanges from the Global South.
The event highlighted how TLS is advancing collaborative adaptation research and action, particularly in regions most vulnerable to climate change.
The showcase featured keynotes from individuals who have shaped the TLS program, along with panel discussions. The first discussion featured ARA members who have participated in the TLS process, sharing their experiences and insights. The second panel included funders and partners, exploring how investment in TLS can support broader adaptation goals.
