Jane Weru talks about action research projects in Mukuru, Kenya
The Adaptation Research Alliance (ARA) has co-developed a framework for action research in adaptation that results in real-world solutions for those at the frontline of climate change. These principles are in action by those working in the township of Mukuru in Nairobi, Kenya.
Jane Weru, director of Akiba Mashinani Trust, speaks about work uplifting the township and how solutions are implemented alongside its residents, who work together with researchers, policymakers, and NGOs in making the community resilient to the impacts of climate change.
“So if we do not work together, we will not go anywhere, and that is why it is important to collaborate.”
