A wildlife biologist and environmentalist and teach at the Department of Environment and Climate Studies, College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan. Studied Natural Resources Management from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Research interests include hydrology, water resources management, integrated watershed management, climate change, ecosystem services, land management, food security, and biodiversity conservation . Also a National Geographic Explorer and exploring the invertebrate diversity of the last virgin rivers of Bhutan.
Heads Global Forum for Sustainable Rural Development-Global Centre for Environment and Climate Change, a research centre that aims to provide solutions for environmental and climate challenges in Bhutan and beyond. Also lead the PhD. in Climate Studies program, and Centre for Environment and Climate Research at the University.
