Mashoko holds an M.A. Geography and Environmental Management (University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania) and PhD Environmental Science (Rhodes University) where he focused on climate change adaptation and drought disaster risk reduction in semi-arid rural settings in Zimbabwe. He has more than 12 years of experience in community development in different capacities in climate resilience; environmental conservation, action research and project monitoring and evaluation gained through exposure in the academia, consultancy and project implementation in Tanzania, Sudan and Zimbabwe.
